This card suits travelers who actually sleep at Wyndham properties and want their everyday spending to fund those stays. Stays at participating Hotels by Wyndham earn 6x, so the card rewards the loyalist far more than the occasional guest.

The $95 annual fee comes with built-in offsets: 15,000 bonus points every anniversary year and a $50 meal delivery credit, paid as $25 per six months rather than one lump sum. Add Diamond status for the first year (Platinum after) plus 10% fewer points on free night redemptions. One caveat: a Wyndham point runs about 0.7 cents, so 4x does not mean 4% back.

In a small wallet, treat this as the bonus-category card rather than the workhorse. Purchases outside dining, groceries, gas, flights, and Wyndham stays earn just 1x, so a flat-rate card should cover the rest of your spending. One quiet plus: there is no foreign transaction fee, so it stays useful for those four categories when you travel abroad.
