Gemini Credit Card
WebBank · Mastercard · No annual fee · Earns Gemini Crypto Back
Rewards arrive as the crypto you pick (bitcoin by default, changeable anytime). The 4% on gas, EV charging and transit covers only the first $300 of combined spend each month, then drops to 1% — a steep cliff.

Our take
The Gemini Credit Card pays its rewards in crypto — bitcoin by default, or any of 50+ coins you can switch anytime — on a $0-annual-fee Mastercard World Elite issued by WebBank. The headline rate is 4% on gas, EV charging, and transit, backed by 3% on dining, 2% on groceries, and 1% on everything else, with no foreign transaction fee and applications currently open.
The condition to understand is the cap, because it is the steepest cliff in our catalog. That 4% applies only to the first $300 of combined gas, EV charging, and transit spend each month — at most $12 in rewards — and then the rate falls to 1%, not to some reduced category rate. The counter resets on the 1st, and one tank-heavy month burns through $300 fast. Past the cap, this is the worst card in your wallet for those exact categories.
On valuation: we count crypto rewards at their cash value at the moment you earn them, and we never forecast what the coin does afterward — the ride up or down belongs to you. Judged that way, the sleeper rate is the uncapped 3% on dining, which can out-earn the entire 4% category once dining spend passes $400 a month. Rotating Vault Rewards promos add up to 10% at featured merchants, and note the old $200 intro bonus was paused effective 2026-01-31 — there is no public bonus today.
In a wallet, the honest role is dollar-cost-averaging into crypto from spending you were doing anyway, at no fee. Route the first $300 of monthly gas and transit here, lean on the 3% dining line, and the moment the cap trips, hand those pump-and-fare purchases to any 2% card — even a flat-rate floor beats this card's post-cap 1%.
The math
Run $200 a month of gas through this card and you're earning about $96 a year at our conservative valuations. There's no annual fee to earn back — everything above the 1% base rate is pure upside.
Where it lands in our rankings: #3 for transit & rideshare

Common questions
- Does Gemini Credit Card have an annual fee?
- No — Gemini Credit Card has no annual fee.
- What does Gemini Credit Card earn on gas?
- 4% on gas (up to $300/mo (combined)).
- What rewards does Gemini Credit Card earn on everything else?
- 1% on all other purchases, in Gemini Crypto Back.
- What happens after I hit the $300 monthly cap on gas, EV charging, and transit?
- The rate drops to 1% on further spend in those categories — not to a reduced category rate, but to the plain base rate — until the cycle resets on the 1st of the month. At 4% on $300, the cap is worth at most $12 a month, so once it trips, almost any other card in your wallet earns more at the pump or the turnstile.
- How does SwipeCaddy value the Gemini card's crypto rewards?
- At the cash amount on the day you earn them. You pick the payout coin — bitcoin by default, from 50+ options you can change anytime — and rewards are credited at their cash value at earn time. We never forecast what the asset does afterward; any gain or loss from there is your ride, up or down.
- Does the Gemini Credit Card have a sign-up bonus or an annual fee?
- There is no public sign-up bonus today — the old $200 intro offer was paused effective 2026-01-31. The fee side is clean: $0 annual fee and $0 foreign transaction fees on a Mastercard World Elite, so the ongoing rates and the crypto payout are the whole pitch.
