Our take
Barclays relaunched this card in June 2026 as Wyndham's premium option, and the headline catch arrives with the fee: $395 a year, and the 90,000-point welcome bonus requires both $6,000 in purchases and paying that annual fee in full within the first 120 days. Miss the fee payment and the bonus is off the table — a string most issuers never attach.
The earn structure is the strongest in the Wyndham lineup: 8 points per $1 at participating Hotels by Wyndham — roughly 5.6% back at our conservative 0.7-cent point valuation — plus 4x on dining and at grocery stores, with Target and Walmart excluded. The travel bucket is where it gets unusual: Barclays defines qualifying travel by merchant category code to cover airfare, car rentals, rideshare, gas, EV charging, tolls and trains, so a chunk of ordinary driving costs earns the 4x rate.
The $395 fee buys ongoing perks rather than statement credits: Wyndham Rewards Diamond status, an annual points bonus with cardmember rate discounts at Wyndham properties, and no foreign transaction fees. Keep the point math honest, though — a Wyndham point runs about 0.7 cents, so 4x works out closer to 2.8% than 4%, and everything outside the bonus categories earns just 1x.
In your wallet, this is the card for Wyndham stays and for that MCC-defined travel bucket — gas, EV charging, tolls, rideshare and trains — where few competitors pay 4x. Against its $95 sibling, the Wyndham Earner Plus, the everyday categories are identical at 4x; the extra $300 buys 8x instead of 6x at Wyndham plus Diamond status, so the Premier only earns its keep if Wyndham hotels are a serious line item in your year. Otherwise the Plus does the same daily work for a quarter of the fee.
The math
Run $400 a month of dining through this card and you're earning about $134 a year at our conservative valuations. Against the $395 annual fee, that top rate needs roughly $4,125 a month of dining spend before it beats a no-fee flat 2% card.

Common questions
- Does Wyndham Rewards Earner Premier Card have an annual fee?
- Yes — $395 per year.
- What does Wyndham Rewards Earner Premier Card earn on dining?
- 4x on dining.
- What rewards does Wyndham Rewards Earner Premier Card earn on everything else?
- 1x on all other purchases, in Wyndham Rewards.
- What's the catch with the 90,000-point welcome bonus?
- Two conditions share the same 120-day window: you must spend $6,000 in purchases and pay the $395 annual fee in full. Most bonuses hinge on spend alone; here, leaving the fee unpaid within that window can cost you the entire 90,000 points, so settle that first statement early.
- What counts as travel for the 4x rate?
- Barclays defines qualifying travel by merchant category code, and the list is broader than most: airfare, car rentals, rideshare, gas stations, EV charging, tolls and trains all earn 4x. Anything outside that list — and outside dining, groceries and Wyndham stays — falls back to the card's 1x base rate.
- Is the Premier worth $395 over the Wyndham Earner Plus?
- Both cards earn 4x on the same everyday categories; the $300 difference buys 8x instead of 6x at Wyndham hotels plus Diamond status. On earn rate alone, at a 0.7-cent point value you would need roughly $21,000 a year in Wyndham stays to close the gap, so the annual points bonus, cardmember rate discounts and Diamond perks have to carry the case for most people.
