Robinhood Gold Card

Coastal Community Bank · Visa · No annual fee · Earns Robinhood Points

Waitlist-only, and requires the $50/yr ANNUAL Robinhood Gold plan (monthly doesn't qualify). The 3 points per $1 are worth a full cent only redeemed into a Robinhood brokerage account — statement credit pays less — and accounts opened after Jul 1, 2026 pay a 3% foreign transaction fee.

Our take

The Robinhood Gold Card earns 3 points per dollar on everything, no caps and no categories — the ceiling of the flat-rate tier. Coastal Community Bank issues it as a Visa Signature, and the sticker price is $0. The real price is membership: the card requires Robinhood Gold on the $50-per-year annual plan (the monthly plan does not qualify), and today you cannot simply apply — the card is waitlist-only, with Robinhood inviting people in gradually.

The condition to understand is redemption, and it is stricter than it looks. Points are worth a full cent each only four ways: a cash deposit into a Robinhood brokerage account, a recurring crypto investment, the Robinhood Travel Portal, or gift cards. Redeem as a statement credit — the lazy default — and the terms promise only "less than $.01" per point, with about 0.7 cents commonly reported. We rank the card at that conservative 0.7, roughly 2.1% back, and show the 1-cent brokerage channel as upside, exactly how we treat Chase Ultimate Rewards. Even at 2.1%, it just took the number-one spot at Costco.

Two 2026 changes and a policy note. The old 5x travel-portal bonus is gone — the July 29, 2026 rewards terms say portal purchases no longer earn extra points. Accounts opened on or after July 1, 2026 pay a 3% foreign transaction fee; earlier accounts are grandfathered at zero. And if you redeem into a recurring crypto investment, we value that reward at the cash amount the moment you earn it — the app never forecasts what the asset does afterwards; the volatility is your ride, up or down. There is no signup bonus.

In a wallet, this is the flat tier played at its ceiling: if you already live inside Robinhood — Gold on the annual plan, a brokerage account to receive redemptions — nothing flat beats 3% on everything, and your bonus-category cards now have a higher bar to clear. If you are not already inside, the math is thin: a waitlist, a $50-a-year membership and a new-account foreign fee, in exchange for a conservative 0.1-point edge over a free 2% card. Have it, and it is the floor every uncategorized purchase falls to. Do not chase it.

Common questions

Does Robinhood Gold Card have an annual fee?
No — Robinhood Gold Card has no annual fee.
What rewards does Robinhood Gold Card earn on everything else?
3x on all other purchases, in Robinhood Points.
Is the Robinhood Gold Card really free?
The card itself carries a $0 annual fee, but it requires Robinhood Gold on the annual $50-per-year plan — the monthly Gold plan does not qualify. Treat that $50 as the card's real annual fee. Redeemed at the full cent, the extra point over a free 2% card earns the fee back after about $5,000 of yearly spending; at the roughly 0.7-cent statement-credit value, the edge shrinks to about 0.1 points and the membership rarely pays for itself on the card alone.
How much are Robinhood Gold Card points actually worth?
One cent each, but only through four channels: a cash deposit to a Robinhood brokerage account, a recurring crypto investment, the Robinhood Travel Portal, or gift cards. Everything else, including a statement credit, pays "less than $.01" per point in the terms — about 0.7 cents is commonly reported. SwipeCaddy ranks the card at that 0.7-cent value, roughly 2.1% back, and shows the 1-cent channels as upside. Crypto redemptions are valued at the cash amount at the moment of earning; the app never forecasts what the asset does afterwards.
Can I get the Robinhood Gold Card right now?
Not directly. The card is waitlist-only — Robinhood's page says "Reserve your spot" and access is rolling out gradually. Know what a new account gets before joining: a 3% foreign transaction fee on accounts opened on or after July 1, 2026 (earlier accounts keep 0%), no signup bonus, and the discontinued 5x travel-portal bonus is not coming back with it. Worth reserving if you already bank at Robinhood; not worth chasing for a 0.1-point edge over a free 2% card.
