Ink Business Premier Credit Card

Chase · Visa · $195/yr · Earns Cash Back

Flat 2% cash back on every purchase, with no caps. The advertised 2.5% applies only to a single purchase that bills and posts at $5,000 or more, so rankings use the 2% floor everyone gets.

Our take

The Ink Business Premier Credit Card is Chase's flat-rate business card for people who would rather not think about categories. Every purchase earns 2% cash back with no caps and no rotating buckets, and two exceptions earn more: 5% total on travel booked through the Chase Travel portal, and 5% total on qualifying Lyft products and services bought in the Lyft app through September 30, 2027. The annual fee is $195.

The headline you will see advertised is 2.5%, and it comes with a condition our engine cannot check. That rate only applies to a single purchase that bills and posts to the account in an amount of $5,000 or more; an order that ships in pieces and posts as several smaller charges earns 2%. SwipeCaddy has no way to know how big a swipe will be before you make it, so we rank this card at the 2% floor every purchase gets and never at the 2.5%. When you do put a genuine $5,000-plus purchase on it, you quietly earn more than we show.

Rewards here are cash, not transferable Ultimate Rewards points. Chase tracks each dollar of cash back as 100 points worth a cent apiece, and you can take it as a statement credit, a direct deposit, gift cards, Apple purchases, or travel through Chase Travel — there are no airline or hotel transfer partners on this product. Note also that this is a pay-in-full card, so the balance is due each month rather than revolving, and that Chase's pricing and terms list foreign transactions as none.

The math

Run $250 a month of flights through this card and you're earning about $150 a year at our conservative valuations. Against the $195 annual fee, that top rate needs roughly $550 a month of flights spend before it beats a no-fee flat 2% card.

Common questions

Does Ink Business Premier Credit Card have an annual fee?
Yes — $195 per year.
What does Ink Business Premier Credit Card earn on flights?
5% on flights (book via chase travel).
What rewards does Ink Business Premier Credit Card earn on everything else?
2% on all other purchases, in Cash Back.
Why does SwipeCaddy show 2% when Chase advertises 2.5%?
Because the 2.5% is a per-transaction rate, not a card-wide one. Chase pays the extra 0.5% only when a single purchase bills and posts at $5,000 or more, and explicitly says that items shipping at different times and billing in smaller amounts earn 2%. We rank the rate every purchase actually gets, which means this card is understated rather than overstated on the rare large swipe.
Which purchases on the Ink Business Premier earn more than 2%?
Two. Travel booked through the Chase Travel portal earns 5% total, and that rate is portal-only — the same flight or hotel booked directly with the airline or hotel earns the 2% base. Qualifying Lyft products and services bought through the Lyft mobile app also earn 5% total, but only through September 30, 2027, after which they fall back to 2%.
