Our take
The Business Advantage Travel Rewards World Mastercard earns an unlimited 1.5 points per $1 on everyday business purchases, and 3 points per $1 on travel booked through the Bank of America Travel Center. There is no annual fee and, unlike some of its Bank of America business siblings, no international transaction fees — stated twice on the product page, which makes this the family card to hand to someone flying abroad.
The 3x is portal-bound. It applies to travel purchased at the Bank of America Travel Center; the same flight or hotel booked directly with the airline or the property earns the flat 1.5 points. Bank of America does not spell out what the Travel Center actually sells, so we model the bonus as a single travel row rather than pretending we know it splits across flights, hotels and car rentals. The other thing to internalise is redemption: points are worth a flat 1 cent, but only as a statement credit that offsets travel and dining purchases, or as travel booked at the Travel Center with no blackout dates, and redemptions start at 2,500 points. This is not a card that pays you cash.
The welcome offer is 50,000 online bonus points after at least $5,000 in purchases in the first 90 days, redeemable for a $500 statement credit toward travel or dining. Bank of America also still advertises Preferred Rewards for Business here: with a business checking account, earning climbs to as much as 5.25 points per $1 at the Travel Center and 2.62 points per $1 on everything else at the Platinum Honors tier. That uplift rides on balances rather than spending, so we rank the 3 and 1.5 points anyone gets and leave the tiers as upside to verify against your own accounts.
The math
Run $150 a month of other travel through this card and you're earning about $54 a year at our conservative valuations. There's no annual fee to earn back — everything above the 1.5% base rate is pure upside.

Common questions
- Does Bank of America Business Advantage Travel Rewards have an annual fee?
- No — Bank of America Business Advantage Travel Rewards has no annual fee.
- What does Bank of America Business Advantage Travel Rewards earn on other travel?
- 3% on other travel (book via bank of america travel center).
- What rewards does Bank of America Business Advantage Travel Rewards earn on everything else?
- 1.5% on all other purchases, in Cash Back.
- Do I earn 3 points on all travel with this card?
- No. The 3 points per $1 apply only to travel purchased through the Bank of America Travel Center. Book a flight with the airline or a hotel with the property and you earn the flat 1.5 points instead. Bank of America does not publish a list of what the Travel Center sells, so we model the bonus as one travel rate rather than splitting it across flights, hotels and rental cars.
- Can I take the points as cash?
- No. Each point is worth a flat 1 cent, but redemption is restricted: a statement credit that offsets travel and dining purchases, or travel booked at the Bank of America Travel Center with no blackout dates. Redemptions start at 2,500 points. If your business rarely books travel or buys meals, the points can pile up unused, and a straight cash back card may serve you better.
