Our take
This card makes sense if your travel already runs through the SkyTeam alliance and you eat out often. It earns 3x Flying Blue miles on dining, which works out to about 3.6 cents per dollar at the conservative 1.2-cent valuation SwipeCaddy uses for ranking, good for fourth place among dining cards. The same 3x applies to eligible Air France, KLM, and SkyTeam airline purchases, so restaurants and airfare pull in the same direction.
The honest tradeoff is the $89 annual fee and a base rate that will not carry a wallet. Everyday spending earns 1.5x, roughly 1.8 cents per dollar at the same valuation, so non-bonus purchases are ordinary. Watch the airline fine print as well: the 3x rate covers Air France, KLM, and SkyTeam member airlines such as Delta, not every flight you book, and Bank of America's terms never name Delta directly.
The recurring perks do most of the work against the fee. You collect 5,000 anniversary miles each year after at least $50 in spend, worth about $60 at the 1.2-cent valuation, plus up to 160 XP annually toward Flying Blue elite status. With no foreign transaction fees, it fits a small wallet as the dedicated airline-and-dining card while a flat-rate card covers everything else.
The math
Run $400 a month of dining through this card and you're earning about $173 a year at our conservative valuations. Against the $89 annual fee, that top rate needs roughly $475 a month of dining spend before it beats a no-fee flat 2% card.
Where it lands in our rankings: #5 for dining

Common questions
- Does Air France KLM Visa Signature Credit Card have an annual fee?
- Yes — $89 per year.
- What does Air France KLM Visa Signature Credit Card earn on dining?
- 3x on dining.
- What rewards does Air France KLM Visa Signature Credit Card earn on everything else?
- 1.5x on all other purchases, in Flying Blue.
- Does the Air France KLM Visa Signature Credit Card earn 3x on Delta flights?
- Delta is a SkyTeam member airline, and the card's 3x rate applies to eligible SkyTeam member airline purchases. Bank of America's terms do not name Delta explicitly, so the earn comes through the SkyTeam language rather than a dedicated Delta category. Expect 3 miles per dollar on eligible Delta tickets under that SkyTeam umbrella.
- Does the Air France KLM Visa Signature Credit Card help you earn Flying Blue elite status?
- Yes, modestly. The welcome offer includes 100 XP, and the card can add up to 160 XP per year toward Flying Blue elite status. That yearly figure is a ceiling, so treat the card as a steady supplement to your status progress rather than a way to reach elite status on its own.
